"Something to interest all ages of visitor."

We’re delighted that Canterbury’s Beaney House of Art and Knowledge, designed by Casson Mann in 2012, has been named one of Britain’s ten best small museums by the Guardian, as chosen by readers. Read more here.

The Beaney's collections span ethnology, natural history, archaeology, decorative and fine art. Introducing the collections is a huge Cabinet of Curiosities – stuffed birds, Greek vases, regimental trophies, Siberian maps, shoes and muskets – filling the room with variety and interest. Central tables equipped with drawers, irresistible investigative tools, and learning games provide fun for visitors.

“The Beaney, a striking Tudor revival building, is a place to explore the stories of a range of exhibits, from paintings to pilgrim badges, old and new artefacts from Canterbury and beyond, and has something to interest all ages of visitor.”
