Stanislavski Museolobby

Moscow, 2008

Horus Capital have commissioned Casson Mann to create a Museolobby for their media centre in the ‘Moscow Company of Gold Thread’ factory. Behind the centre is a separate building that was converted, under the guidance of Stanislavsky, into a theatre. The unique lobby space will be both a functional lobby area and a museum dedicated to the life of Constantin Stanislavski, founder of the system that became Method Acting.

The brief was to create a captivating and energising installation about Stanislavsky; a dramatic and beautiful legacy to Konstantin Sergeyevitch Stanislavsky.

The Museolobby is an integral part of the building, signalling the development as a prestigious place to work, and helping to set the tone of a forward-looking, creative and inspiring environment. The calibre of the installation gives the Stanislavsky Centre a visibility within the marketplace, which will be come to be talked about and remembered.
