We were briefed to create a bold but friendly interior for the first Chambers specialising in human rights to open after the incorporation of the new Human Rights laws. A series of feature walls in warm grey and rich magenta were dropped through from the ceiling void and washed down with concealed lighting. A reception desk was custom made to change colour through cycles of blues, pinks and greens using cold cathode lighting. Our aim was to give Matrix a space that was dignified but unexpected.
