House, East Sussex
East Sussex, 2003
The building was a ruined milking parlour in an asymmetrical T shape with two walled courtyards where the cows waited their turn. The central axis of the house has become the main communal area, with sliding doors leading out to views of the South Downs. The right arm of the T has been transformed into the owners’ private space, arranged as a string of rooms. A guest bedroom area and self contained living space form the left arm of the T.
